Jake New grew up with a loving grandmother who survived a rare form of blood cancer for over 60 years. At an early age he aimed his sights on someday finding a cure for cancer. Jake is a MD / PhD candidate at Kansas University Medical Center to soon become a Scientific Researcher. (Go Jayhawks!) He is completing his research on head and throat cancer and will defend his PhD in April 2018. Jake describes his pursuit of serving others through one day finding a cure for cancer.
